HIDEO KOJIMA RTX SYDNEY

Kept you waiting, huh? For anyone over the age of 30, the biggest drawcard for RTX Sydney 2017 would most likely have been Hideo Kojima or KINDA FUNNY (or both in my case). Hideo Kojima was interviewed by Greg Miller from KINDA FUNNY in a two hour panel. There was a lot of discussion about Death Stranding, but, in true Kojima fashion, a lot was said with the audience having no better understanding about what the game is (although he did confirm it is open world). There was also a panel on the second day of RTX, called Game Creators: from Indie to Icon with Hideo Kojima, Joshua Boggs. This panel gave a fascinating insight into the minds of two very different video game creators. In case the name is unfamiliar, Joshua Boggs is the creator of Framed, Hideo Kojima's favourite game of 2014. https://twitter.com/HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN/status/536188163467644928?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw How Kojima thinks Kojima spoke of how he comes up with his ideas. THE GAME AWARDS HIGHLIGHTS 2016

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THIS YEARS GAME AWARDS Another year, another Game Awards come and gone. While you can watch the whole thing online if you like, I thought I'd do you all a solid and compile my highlights of the show (and to save you from having to watch the "music" performances... not talking about the Doom performance, that was boss!) Bulletstorm Full Clip Edition A remaster of the original, super fun Bulletstorm with all DLC and updates is on its way. While this alone is great, it’s the totally unexpected pre-order bonus that is the highlight here. Pre-order and you can play through the entire campaign as Duke Nukem, fully voiced by Jon St. John! Zelda Breath of the Wild – Most Anticipated Game While the gameplay video that was shown during the show was underwhelming, mainly due to the way it was presented, the preshow footage of Breath of the Wild was fantastic. Most Anticipated Game is quite the honour, what with Mass Effect looming, but this game has our interests piqued. Hideo in the House! Now while we all expected there to be a lot of love for Hideo Kojima at the show from his boy Jeff Keighley, the bromance was off the charts. Check out the video below, as words can’t describe. Oh, and the jabs at Konami were brutal. Death…
